The Duologue exists as a space for an ongoing conversation between Philip Welding and Rowan Bailey, in which the language employed by each is constrained by the nature of their discipline; one uses photographs and the other uses words. Philip's photographs are placed as provocations for discussion but may invite other interpretations. In this way, more questions are raised than answers, although the desire to verbalise thoughts together is avoided.
I am so thrilled by this!!!

ReplyDeleteHera was struggling in her room. It was a large room and had plenty of light but the walnut wood furniture darkened the mood with its sober lines moving in every direction. Her writing desk made concrete thinking almost impossible. The temptation to follow with her fingertips the strokes of the planed wood was irresistible and took her off into imaginary spaces for hours.
